I hope that NSFW you’re referring to meant not safe for work. If it meant not safe for women,’ I’m going to have to take a wee bit of exctepion to it. I’m a woman-and a paramedic-and I’ve seen things sticking through body parts I’d never even be able to say so on here. I’m assuming this ISN’T a porn site and, besides, kids probably visit here. What else could explain why a guardian has to sign before those younger than 14 can access the Message Board?When I first started working at the Fire Department, there were a load of dim men-not you, I’m specifically talking about a personal experience now-who thought I should give up and take a job as a seamstress-or at least a nurse. Dim like that.And I’d always say,  Then who would you have to look at every day? People like Danny, Mark, Jason, etc?  Which always worked b/c, for every point their IQ’s dropped their testosterone level rose.There aren’t as many of those guys around now, but there still are some, and I can’t believe the new, young ones who think I won’t be able to handle looking at a few red blood cells. It’s amusing. Not everybody is blessed with being amused every single day they go to work, which is how I look at it now.Only one thing makes me squeamish and that’s brain matter. REAL brain matter, which looks nothing like people who make horror movies think it does. I’m not squeamish while at work, I always override it by telling myself I have to be there for the patient, but I don’t really read about zombies eating brains for that reason.BTW I’m almost certain Mr. Ellis has never thought of putting an item into the orifice of a patient we recently saw, who later died of the very placement of that object.It takes something beyond a human being to do what they did, and I have no qualms in saying that not even Capital Punishment would work for those particular fools. It’s too good for that lot.
