I think Benicar triggers my email Spam filter and your comment was not delivered to me.I share all your concerns about Benicar. I was at the MD last week and he was thrilled that my BP in office was 124/80. He smiled. I still think that’s just a little too high for being on meds, but he disagreed with me.I was sick last week and I am never sick and so I was searching for reasons. I did a Google search on Benicar Cough and wished I hadn’t done the query. Hair loss. Dry cough. Extremities swelling. Head colds. And so on.Then I realized all meds have side effects and if those things start to perpetually hit me I’ll worry about them at that time. Right now, Benicar is doing the job and I just need to quiet down and keep taking it every day.Make sure you get an echocardiogram done. My heart wall is 1.1 and it should be 1.0. That 0.1 increase is because of my high blood pressure. My MD thinks there’s a chance that reading will return to normal, but for now, I’m cursing myself for taking too long to get on a meds regimin.
